Unified Airway Awareness Month
Raising awareness for airway health.
What is
Unified Airway Awareness Month?
Unified Airway Awareness Month is a dedicated observance built on one simple truth: the upper and lower respiratory tracts are a single, continuous pathway. Your nose, sinuses, and lungs are connected, which means a problem at one end rarely stays there.
For too long, respiratory care has been siloed. ENTs focus on the head and neck, pulmonologists focus on the lungs, and allergists manage the systemic link in between. Patients are often left treating half the problem, addressing their asthma or their sinus issues in isolation while the underlying connection goes unaddressed.
The Snot Force Alliance created Unified Airway Awareness Month to change that. The goal is to break down these clinical silos, drive multidisciplinary collaboration among the specialists who share these patients, and empower patients to advocate for care that treats the whole airway rather than one piece of it.
Whether you are a physician managing complex respiratory disease or a patient tired of chasing symptoms that never fully resolve, this observance is for you. Controlling disease at one end of the airway is essential to breathing freely at the other.
